The Board of Directors of Industrial Scientific Corporation has elected Justin McElhattan, 37, as President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2010. In this position, Mr. McElhattan will have full and direct responsibility for day-to-day operations, and for growing all worldwide business units and subsidiaries.

Industrial Scientific also announced that Tom Cunningham has joined the company as Vice-President, Global Operations.

In another announcement, Industrial Scientific was named the Pittsburgh Business Times Manufacturer of the Year. The program annually recognizes area manufacturers in the 10-county Pittsburgh region for achieving growth through innovation and process improvements. www.indsci.com
