Equilibar introduces Instrument Series Regulators

Equilibar's new Instrument Series expands high precision performance to much higher pressures (5000 psig versus 1000 psig) and much higher temperatures (327°C versus 200°C) than our existing product line.

In response to customers' continuing requests for more precise high and low pressure control and their great success in the testing and calibration equipment market, Equilibar has developed a family of precision dome-loaded back pressure regulators with a very wide range of pressure, temperature and flow capability.

Called the Instrument Series, these regulators precisely control pressures up to 5000 psig using SS316 diaphragms. Fitted with Kalrez® o-rings, the device can operate up to temperatures of 327°C (620 °F). A flow rate turn-down ratio of up to 10,000:1 enables these regulators to excel at ultra low flow rate applications, controlling down to a Flow Coefficient (Cv) of 1E-08 and a maximum Cv range from 0.1 to 0.6.

As with all Equilibar® regulators, inlet pressures can be controlled to within 1% of set-point through widely varying flow ranges. Diaphragm options include PTFE, Viton, and SS316, making these regulators compatible with aggressive chemistries. The set-point pressure for these devices is provided by either a manual pressure reducing regulator, or by an electro-pneumatic controller for process automation. The Instrument Series back pressure regulators are available in 1/8" or ¼" NPT ports, as well as Valco or VCR compatible fittings.
